Last week Floating Points and Jamie xx met on the London based radio last week. The result is rather unexpected. Unlike their usual musical universe they played a set full of house and funk, it comes on point for the summer. They both prove once again their talent for digging rare gems. Starting with an energizing funk straight out of the 70s (Cameo - “Rigor Mortis”) to slowly get to a lighter but more soulful house (Theo Parrish and Moodymann - “Lake Shore Drive”). They wrap up with some refreshing pop classics (Gerry Rafferty - “Right Down the Line”) that leave us with nothing but an unerasable smile. You can find the full tracklist here.
